Bobby Keys Dead - Rolling Stones Saxophone Player Dead at 70

Rolling Stones saxaphone player Bobby Keys has passed away at the age of 70.

“The Rolling Stones are devastated by the loss of their very dear friend and legendary saxophone player, Bobby Keys,” a statement read from a rep (via ABC News). “Bobby made a unique musical contribution to the band since the 1960′s. He will be greatly missed.”

He passed away in at his home in Franklin, Tennessee and an immediate cause of death is not known. Back in October, the Rolling Stones announced new tour dates, but a statement said that Bobby would not be joining the band for their dates.

Our condolences go out to the band and Bobby’s friends and family during this time.
