Taylor Swift's Boss Scott Borchetta Is Joining 'American Idol'!

Scott Borchetta, the man who discovered Taylor Swift, is reportedly set to join the upcoming fourteenth season of American Idol as the new mentor, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 52-year-old executive is currently the President and CEO of Big Machine Label group and he signed Taylor to the label when she was just 14.

Other acts signed to the label include Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line, Reba McEntire, The Band Perry, Brantley Gilbert, and The Voice‘s Danielle Bradbery.

The mentor position has previously been held by Jimmy Iovine and Randy Jackson, who entered the role after ending his run as a judge.
