Benedict Cumberbatch Wants to Try More Comedy, Like Getting Caught With His Pants Down

Benedict Cumberbatch carries his luggage and some fresh flowers through the terminal at LAX Airport on Saturday night (December 6) in Los Angeles.

The 38-year-old actor recently opened up about what other kinds of film roles he’s interested in pursuing.

“Comedy is the real test, I think,” Benedict told NJ.com. “I’ve done other things that are hard to do, but if you can play truth in comedy, you can definitely do anything. I’d like to do more of it, even just a cameo.”

He continued, “I haven’t only played characters of extraordinary intelligence — they’re the ones that tend to stick out, I think — but I’d love to do a comic role for a change, get caught with my pants down, fall down the stairs — just go all out.”

He’s a great comedy actor. His performance in Starter for 10 is genius and his droky role in Cabin Pressure.
