Recently, Hugh and his coffee company teamed up with Keurig Green Mountain.

“We started Laughing Man Coffee and Tea to fulfill a commitment I made to share the amazing products and story of an Ethiopian coffee farmer named Dukale,” Hugh told People magazine. “Six years later, it’s humbling to think that, through this agreement, Dukale’s exceptional coffee will be enjoyed by millions through the convenience of the Keurig brewing system.”

I would love to ask Mr. Jackman what his take is on the latest allegations on the fact that the Keurig is actually hazardous for our health, unless of course you can afford to replace the whole machine in a year and don’t mind all the estrogen and chemicals that are leched from the packaging that the K=cup uses. Still love you #awareness.

I just read that article you posted. Here’s the thing though. I remember learning in one of my advanced epidemiology classes that statistically we can find data to support the premise that virtually anything causes cancer and other diseases but after taking into consideration multiple confounders and other variables, most of those things do not really increase someone’s risk for cancer. The woman who wrote the article you posted is merely speculating, and any of the studies she cited can likely be countered by other studies. This is not a topic that has been tested sufficiently so to put down Keurigs would be unfair and premature. The only aspect I can agree with is the plastic cups not being recyclable, but I heard one of Jackman’s crew talking about finding a solution to that problem. So we shall see.
