Anna Kendrick Originally Wanted to Play a Different 'Into the Woods' Character - Find Out Which One!
Anna Kendrick holds hands with co-star Meryl Streep as they attend the The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences screening of their film Into the Woods on Tuesday (December 9) in New York City.
The 29-year-old actress recently opened up about originally wanting to play Little Red Riding Hood instead of Cinderella.
“They told me an actual 12-year-old [Lilla Crawford] would play Little Red Riding Hood,” Anna told ET. “In the show it’s a grown woman, so I was like, ‘Put me in! I can do it!’”
She added about the film, “This was a dream come true. When I found out that they were making this into a movie, I just hoped and prayed and wished and wished, and it’s such a gift. I feel forever grateful to [director] Rob Marshall.”
FYI: Meryl is wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo shirt.
