Miley Cyrus Releases New Cover Song for 'Free the Nipple'

Check out this first listen of Miley Cyrus‘ cover of Melanie Safka’s song “Look What They’ve Done to My Song, Ma” for the new film Free the Nipple.

The 22-year-old singer recorded the cover in just two takes back in August.

“It’s more rock ‘n’ roll,” the film’s director Lina Esco told Variety. “It’s very Johnny Cash. Her voice is so raw, and the song is so raw.”

Free the Nipple is a satire about a group of fearless women fighting for their right to go topless in public, as they smash societal taboos one bare breast at a time.

“This is about equality,” Lina said. “You can show beheadings on Facebook, but you can’t show breastfeeding. If you’re going to censor nudity and love, you should censor violence.”

Wow she is growing up as the crazy selfish girl she was. Cheating innocent minds to do the faults she did. Only wise people know what rectify means.
I dont care about women breastfeeding as long as they dont abuse but i dont tolerate women going topless in the streets.

  • LittleDistraction

Well she has a right to her opinion

The thing is that women deserve equality. Everyone should be equal. Every gender, every race. If men can walk around shirtless, why can’t women?

  • Schnee Wolfe

I believe women should be equal to men.. with two daughters, who have had to fight for their rights to have control over their medical procedures to live healthy lives, I know what is happening out there to women… I’m a old man, and I don’t give a damn about myself, I’ll be gone soon enough, but my kids and grand-kids will be coming after me, and I want a better world for them… that’s why I say BS to Happy666 and his / her kind… let women be free, FEMAN are FREE!!

  • happy666

Because women are decent and men not.
Or probably because men would go so crazy that they couldnt focus on their work?
Or who knows? They would probably get so used to it that boobs wouldnt be interesting for them anymore.

  • Deanne

What an absolute waste of oxygen this girl is. When will her 15 minutes be up?

This has nothing to do with ‘equality’ or making any sort of cogent statement.
It’s just Miley continuing to be sensationalistic because she knows that she has neither the talent nor the stamina to maintain a true artistic career.
Her time and energy are spent being an immature nitwit and abusing drugs.

  • Jo

This is not about equality, this is about her getting more attention

  • ann

thats not the reason is not about descence that comes from back to the 1800s when woman had not rights we should all be equal

  • Botwin

LMAO “How Far would you go for equality?” has nothing to do with miley, it’s just a slogan for the movie.

  • happy666

Zzzz why does your face shine when you are speaking to me?

  • ann

im not speaking but tying lmao
