Country music was one of those that influenced the American Music to make music that tell stories about the truth, “Three chords and the truth”, before most of us were born, it is part of American culture and other countries that were also influenced by the emotions and stories about heartaches, drinking, faith so yeah country music is still a thing. I think it’s not right to judge something or someone when you don’t know anything about what or who they really are. For example, I don’t have the right to say that you live in a narrow-minded world revolving in one genre of music and lack knowledge other than what you know. Maybe because of almost every genre in music are on the same radio except country that you hear that you lack the ability to be more open-minded as to what music really is.

“American culture” … your use of that phrase is ironically accurate …. historically country music is a direct offshoot of blues for a group of people that wouldn’t tolerate African American singers back in the day … a tradition a lot of Americans have carried through to this day :(
It would be unfair for me to dump everyone into that category though … I would like to think the younger generation of country singers are more tolerant as they evolve beyond the generations before them.
