Jennifer Aniston Accepts People Mag Award After Reconnecting with Her Old Boss

Jennifer Aniston is elated as she accepts her award on stage at the 2014 People Magazine Awards held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday evening (December 18) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 45-year-old actress was presented with the Movie Performance of the Year: Actress award by her good friend John Krasinski.

Earlier in the month, Jennifer stopped by The Queen Latifah Show where she called up her old boss at New York City’s Jackson Hole, where she worked as a waitress before she made it big.

“Thank you for supporting me all those years, it meant the world to me,” she told him. Watch below!

FYI: John is wearing Ermenegildo Zegna.

I still don’t know if I get what these awards were about, but congrats to her nonetheless!

  • S Paleshi

Her getting the award had NOTHING to do with her seeing an old boss a month ago. What a ridiculous post.

    Some people try to say
“People Magazine Award” – it’s like nothing special.
Piece of cake they can have every day.

These some people deserve a “Jealous People Award 2014″.

  • Johanna Rena

Congrats Jen for winning The People Magazine Award. !! Now lets see the best actress Oscar ..!!!

  • Amy

Congrats to Ms. Aniston for buying her first film award. Woohoo. Now go away because Julianne Moore is winning every other relevant award, that real stars actually attend. Bye.

  • jilly

It’s the first time People’s Magazine is doing this award and it’s a big deal. So happy for her first award and three more coming. Hi Joy B :)

  • jilly

    Jealous much?

  • LighterNote

The dress Aniston wore to the People event was super! Perfect length, mid-thigh, and perfect width, like an umbrella, for her. Dear Jennifer, please destroy all those long and restricting dresses. They age and choke you bad.

Slate PR, which is headed by Jen’s personal PR hack Stephen Huvane, was a backer of the newly created People Magazine Awards. The show was thrown together in the past month and Slate was the contact for all info on this event. In other words, she not only had to buy back her own movie that nobody wanted to get it into limited distribution, she also had to create a fake event to give her a fake award to generate some Oscar buzz. How tacky can you get?

  • Joy B Angie

    How can you know ?
May be PM Award was created for Jolie.
    But – not this year.
    What a pity.

  • Cheyenne

Google it, honey, it’s all on record. Why would Huvane create a PM award for somebody who wasn’t his client?

  • Bwest

I forgot to ask: has anyone seen “cake”? A movie so wonderful, so beautiful, with the best dramatic actress and NO ONE, outside critics who gave the trophy people watched? Had good box office, more money, more than “Marley and me” (okay that the dog was the star)? Congrat´s Huvane! Your star no real popular…keep trying!Pity I’m really sad! (No…really no! Hahahahah!)

  • Bwest

Sorry about that … but I’ve contributed two comments, I increased your score! And, I loved Rachel, because this was a friend, clumsy, sweet! A good character! But real life is another thing. A good actress doesn’t need to belittle others to promote them selves, their work speaks for it self, and my favorite was Phoebe Buffay in friends!
