Charlie Hunnam Reunited with the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Director Recently

Charlie Hunnam recently reunited with Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson for a “lengthy chat,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The pair met up while attending producer Jennifer Klein‘s annual holiday party on December 13 and “tongues were wagging” while they chatted.

Charlie and Sam reportedly “looked like old friends, laughing and smiling” while her hubby Aaron Taylor-Johnson mingled with other celebrities.

The actor and director almost worked together on Fifty Shades of Grey. He was cast as the titular character Christian Grey, but he backed out and the role went to Jamie Dornan.

    He would have been a better choice. Looks more like the Christian in the book. Height, build, eyes. I’m sure it would have made for a hotter better film, but Jamie has The Fall under his belt as with that predatory psychopath silence already established.

    He left the cast because he was afraid of becoming huge and now he cant stop showing his naked body on tv or films.

    He was a better choice than Jamie who looks like a teen! And with Dakota being so tall and looking over 30, he would have been a more fitting partner. I think other problems of this movie are: the inexperienced director and Dakota Johnson who does not fit even 1% with Ana of the books! I won’t go to see it…don’t want to taint my fantasy about the story with this production!

    But Jamie has The Fall under his belt. It is fantastic and I’m watching the second series now. Jamie is well equipped with the mindset of what Christian Gray is made up of, or let’s say, not made up of from this character in The Fall which is a sexual psychopath serial murderer hellbent on self-destruction but not before making a lot of people either dead or miserable first.
