Queen Elizabeth References 'Game of Thrones' in Christmas Day Message! (Video)

Queen Elizabeth II gave her Christmas Day message as she does every year and there was one moment that stood out on social media – the Game of Thrones reference!

Here is what she said: “The benefits of reconciliation [in Northern Ireland] were clear to see when I visited Belfast in June. While my tour of the set of Game Of Thrones may have gained most attention, my visit to the Crumlin Road Gaol will remain vividly in my mind.

What was once a prison during the Troubles is now a place of hope and fresh purpose; a reminder of what is possible when people reach out to one another, rather like the couple in the sculpture.”

A timely reminder and well given talk saying Christmas is more than presents, it’s also a great time to support families and people that we are entirely unaccustomed to. Both for the Game of Thrones and the public goes another approved message from her Majesty the Queen of England !
