Jennifer Aniston Talks Justin Theroux Relationship Rumors: 'We Know What Our Truth Is'

Jennifer Aniston is opening up about her fiance Justin Theroux.

The 45-year-old actress sat down with CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood to chat about her soon-to-be hubby, tabloid rumors, and her new film Cake, which already nabbed her a 2015 Golden Globe nomination.

On tabloids: “Just don’t pay attention. I think I used to…really, there was a period where I was hell-bent on saying, ‘That’s not true, that’s not right, that’s not fair.’ And now I just think you have to let it roll off your back, and you realize, I think everyone knows it’s all B.S. and like soap opera on paper.”

On her relationship: “The main thing is to try to just keep refocusing back on what you know is true and what makes you guys happy and, you know. We know what our truth is. That’s all just static.”

On award season buzz: “We were a little teeny, weensy movie made for four dollars and we poured our hearts into it and everyone worked so hard, so that this is happening on top of that, it’s just like a huge, giant, juicy cherry on top.”

You can watch Jennifer‘s full interview on Sunday, January 4 @ 9AM on CBS!

She is right and I can relate to her words. It took me a long time to stop obsessing what will people think and live my own truth. Also, congratulations to her.

She forgot to mention the fact that she hired a top Oscar PR who has worked with the Weinsteins. A small little fact that makes a huge difference

Her movie is getting bad reviews. While she is getting good reviews for her performance, it’s nowhere near the fantastic level of reviews that Marion Cotillard is getting. Out of the two, Marion is more deserving of a nominations. However, Aniston has pulled out all the stops to get nominated and has nominated her heart out. I guess one’s campaign is more important than one’s performance.

It seems Oscar’s now goes to the highest bidder, instead of who actually deserves it

Ugh. I always have a hard time when a big star tries to play the underdog, especially with her immature “teensy, weensy” language. She really strikes me as a teenager who always feels so sorry for herself. Maybe she’s a great gal, but she always comes across as a self-absorbed moron.

They can hear, and see what you’re visually thinking, THIS IS NO JOKE, AND NOT A MEME!!! This is the absolute complete truth!!!

Asians hide their mind reading abilities by a lot of them having completely expressionless faces so they don’t accidentally show facial expressions when people think things they don’t like, find funny, astonishing, etc, and Asians segregate so their not nearly as susceptible to that happening.

Asians also segregate, and are untalkative to avoid accidentally saying things that are similar to what people are thinking and going to say.

Try thinking, and visually picturing things as wild as you can when you are around Asians, it works when you try enough!!! and look for Asians who give people dirty/particular looks for what appears to be for completely no reason.

YAAAASSS Jennifer. THIS is how you do an Oscar campaign. CBS interview in the heart of the holidays when Oscar voting starts. YAAASSSS!!!!! Snatch dem votes girl.

  • forrest gump

    so she is lying now?

  • fromanotherplanet

How is this different from every other “small” movie with an Oscar campaign? As executive producer of Cake, most of the promotion cash is coming out from her own money. She is going up against billion dollar studios with million dollar Oscar campaigns and connections. And she’s doing a damn good job. You mad or nah?? LOL #bloop

Okay, where is “Cake”? It was supposed to go into limited distribution by 12/31/14 in order to be in Oscar contention. I can’t find where it’s playing anywhere. Maybe they just released it in one theater in Podunk? This could be all part of the strategy, get it into as few theaters as possible before the Oscar noms, so that as few people as possible have a chance to see it and tell everybody else what a shitfest that movie really is.

Happy New Year Joy B and everyone who likes Jen! :) Wish to see lots of success and happiness and AWARDS for our dear Jen and the rest of us.

Happy New Year 2015, Jilly !
Jen deserves Oscar no doubt !

  • leila

Umm I’m unsure of what Angie has to do with my comment, I see Jen as her own person not always attached to Jolie. I believe that Oscars in general go to the highest bidder. After watching Weinsteins unauthorized bio it seems far more people have an ability to get nominated when you have a studio that is very powerful pulling the strings in the background. I was told Cake was a horrid movie and that Jen was good but definitely not award worthy, from someone who seen it at TIFF. If she gets nominated congrats to her, but I hope that Julianne Moore finally gets it. She has had a long career o great performances

  • jilly

I believe that Cake does not have a huge studio budget behind it, so if Jen is nominated is purely for her great performance. As to bringing Jolie up, I also believe that she’s the one who buys the media and the positive image that she’s made up for herself.

  • jilly

You were right the whole time, she will be nominated and for sure deserves to win!
