Taylor Swift Jumped for Joy at Midnight on New Year's Eve 2015

It seems no one was more excited for the new year to come than Taylor Swift and here is the moment she jumped for joy at the stroke of midnight on Thursday (January 1) in New York City.

The 25-year-old singer was appearing on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2015 and stuck around to see the ball drop.

“Happy new year from all of us in NYC, *especially* @taylorswift13 #rockineve,” Ryan captioned the photo on his Twitter account.

Taylor was so cold during the night that Ryan ended up giving her his coat!

FYI: The MAGIC! guys are wearing custom DARKOH suits and Steve Madden shoes.

Come on. I can not be the only one, this is just getting ridiculous.
Your pushing her at us, it’s obvious.
Like the others, let her performances and her art elevate her.
Not because you keep telling us she’s awesome.
Look at Britney, there is very little talent backing her up. It was all good PR. In the long run it works against you.

Great photo! Great performance by Taylor in subzero temperatures. She’s probably jumping for joy that her album is the top seller of 2014, too. But she’s a naturally enthusiastic person.

  • hill92

Taylor writes her own music, and people love it. So big difference. Plus, she has no handlers, and she made the decision on her own to make a pop album, and break from country. She’s written about because she’s popular.

  • LighterNote

Taylor really enjoyed herself and she’s beyond adorable! Happy New Year people!

she is not adorable she is weird

Taylor swift talks about writing her own music the most. She only wrote one song on her own on ’1989′. Katy Perry has written more songs solo. She’s just not trying to make the word songwriter and her name synonymous.
It’s PR and It’s working. You would think/assume Taylor didn’t co-write on this album like all the other pop stars because in every interview she brings up songwriting. But on paper, seems to be nothing different to the others.

  • hill92

Taylor signed a songwriting contract with Sony when she was 14, so obviously brilliant. Liz Rose, who she worked with on some songs when she was a teenager, says Taylor is a genius. She said she mostly acted as editor–young Taylor would come in with the tune and much of the lyrics and idea of what she wanted to say.. Swift wrote critically acclaimed All Too Well. Rose is credited as co-writer, but all she did was help Swift cut the lyrics from 10 minutes to 5. Swift wrote one of her most popular albums Speak Now entirely on her own. It’s still ranked on Amazon at #5 for pop singers songwriter, #6 for country rock.
1989 Swift was executive producer, critics say it sounds like Taylor Swift, even though it’s pop.. Teddy Fedder, who co-wrote some songs, says she was the driving force, and knew what she wanted. In an interview about the songwriters he’s worked with, he had the highest praise for Swift, calling her the fastest songwriter he’s ever known a “monster songwriter” and she has “a bit of a prodigy thing” going. She was the driving force with other songwriters, music unmistakably Swift, such as the lyrics she wrote for Clean. In a taped memo for Blank Space, Taylor already has the tune and many lyrics when she goes to work with her co-writer. Etc. She knew the sound, the sonics, for 1989, too. Some people like you try to suggest the co-writers did the heavy lifting, but she’s still the genius songwriter she was at 14 As a critic said–Some people can’t accept that a pretty young woman can be such a terrific songwriter. But people who’ve worked with her say shes a prodigy, or a genius.

You see all that is PR. Sia and ED sheeran write everything. I don’t like the inequality.

  • hill92

Exactly what are you calling PR? Are all those people lying? Did she not write Speak Now all by herself (when she was several years younger than Ed Sheeran). Paul McCartney and John Lennon were co-writers. Rolling Stones. Elton John always wrote the music, but Bernie Taupin always wrote the lyrics. Swift is considered a brilliant lyricist AND songwriter (tunes) from Love Story to Blank Space etc. She won a Grammy for Mean, which she wrote by herself. You said it was PR, which is nonsense. She was the driving force behind 1989. You obviously don’t know much about songwriting. It is commonly accepted that she’s a great songwriter–brilliant lyricist, tunes with amazing bridges. It’s commonly recognized

Taylor Swift’s last three albums have sold over a million copies in the first week! Pretty incredible. But I never thought she’d sell more albums than Frozen, over 3 million in a couple of months??? Crazy. She took a huge risk changing from country to pop, even her record label was against it. But she had her vision of what she wanted this album to be, and she went for it. More power to her.

  • hill92

I should’ve realized you were a Katy Perry fan when you tried to claim she wrote more songs solo. If that’s any claim to quality, ha. Make it short:.Swift wrote Speak Now entirely on her own, between the ages of 19 and 20, it sold over a million in the first week, she got a Best Song Grammy for Mean. Speak Now is still ranked in sales on Amazon as number 5 for pop singer/songwriter and 6 for country rock. I like Katy, but a great songwriter? Haaaaa. You must be mad about Bad Blood.

  • Jay

Hahaha I’m not a Katy Perry fan. I promise, lol. Although I don’t dislike her or anything.

  • Lejla.Sa.

Thank you for writing this facts, because most of them I didn’t know. You are a true fan. I’m not a huge Taylor Swift fan but I am a fan because I admire her professionalism and hard work and I can relate.
