Ben Barnes' Strict Parents Didn't Allow Him to Watch Mob Movies During Teenage Years
Ben Barnes is handsome in a suit on the cover of Bello magazine’s January issue, out on newsstands now!
Here’s what the 30-year-old English actor had to share with the mag:
On growing up without watching mob films: “I came to them a bit later. My parents were always really strict about what I could watch when I was a kid, so when I was thirteen and everybody else was watching The Godfather, I wasn’t allowed to.”
On life: “If you’ve earned a lot of money and a lot of people know who you are, maybe to some people that’s making it. To me, that’s not what it’s about; it’s about having things out there that I’m proud of.”
On his mini-series Sons Of Liberty: “This is the action-packed physical visceral exciting spirit of the era version. I for one certainly didn’t realize that Sam Adams, George Washington, John Adams, [and] Thomas Jefferson were all contemporaries- I’m sure most Americans maybe know that, but the idea of seeing how they all banned together in an Oceans Eleven kind of way in this gunpowder heist was incredible.”
