'Gone Girl' Sequel Could Happen 'At Some Point,' Says Writer

Gone Girl author and screenwriter Gillian Flynn just revealed she’s open to doing a sequel to the hit movie.

“There could be a sequel at some point if everyone is game to get the gang back together, it could be really fun a few years from now,” the 43-year-old writer said. “We could pick it up and see what those crazy Dunnes are up to a few years down the road and if they got on – not well I don’t think. I would have to have the exact same people to do it – I would want Rosamund [Pike], Ben [Affleck] and [David] Fincher to do it.”

Gone Girl is out on DVD and Blu-ray today! Be sure to grab your copy of the suspenseful thriller if you haven’t seen it yet.

Oh please, put this mediocre movie out of its misery.

    Fincher would never do it.
He is certainly more on board with the “Girl with the Dragon Tatoo” sequels instead.
And the ending of Gone Girl was perfect.

The book was much better than the movie. I’d be interested in a sequel to that.

Boring book and characters. If she does try to write a follow-up, let’s hope she doesn’t get stuck halfway through, as she did with GA, and pull any random plot point out of her brain to finish it. Opportunistic sequel.
