Naya Rivera Calls Showering Every Day a 'White People Thing'
Naya Rivera sports a fur coat while arriving for an appearance on The View on Tuesday (January 13) in New York City.
The 28-year-old actress was on hand to help co-host the show for two consecutive days this week.
During the show, Naya admitted that she tends to shower once every three days and said it was an “ethnic” thing. Afterwards, she got some backlash on Twitter for her comments.
“I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing,” Naya said on the show. “I can say that I am now married to a white man [Ryan Dorsey], and he showers a lot. Like, a lot — two, three times a day. I’m like, ‘What are you doing?’ A study says… a dermatologist says you are only supposed to shower once or twice every three days, so I’m right on the mark.”
“When you get out of the shower today, get a sense of humor. Love ya!” Naya tweeted after the show.

I'ma tell you now, Naya Rivera is incorrect. She is wrong. Ethnic folk do not shower less than White people.

Naya Rivera said ethnic people shower less than white people? You really did dodge a bullet @BigSean

I don't think @NayaRivera is attempting to say white people are cleaner than other ethnic groups. She's just stating her observations…
