Jake Gyllenhaal Passes on 'Suicide Squad' Role After Tom Hardy's Departure

Jake Gyllenhaal has reportedly passed on the offer to star in the Suicide Squad movie, Variety reports.

The 34-year-old actor got the offer to play the role of Rick Flagg, leader of the Suicide Squad. Tom Hardy was originally set to play the part, but dropped out just last week.

Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne are all signed on to star in the film and no further replacement has been announced. It’s also been rumored that Ben Affleck‘s Batman will appear in the film.
