Kevin Costner Wants 'Black or White' to Change People's Perception on Race

Kevin Costner and Anthony Mackie suit up for the screening of their latest film Black or White held at Regal Atlantic Station on Thursday (January 22) in Atlanta, Ga.

“If I’m going to tell stories, I have to tell them in the most honest way that I can. This thing is layered. It looks at where we are at with race today and how race gets used sometimes as a tool,” Kevin, 60, recently shared to Huffington Post about the film.

He added, “That’s not to say that it’s not there — the problems with race are real — but sometimes it can be used when it’s not appropriate. And it holds us back.”
