Julianne Moore's Story About Her First Meeting with Jennifer Lawrence is Priceless

Julianne Moore is all about her hair on the cover of THR‘s latest issue.

Here’s what the 54-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On her Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence: “She’s very funny. When I first met her, I was sitting in the makeup trailer, and our makeup artist was testing something, and Jennifer came in. I said, ‘Oh, let me get up.’ She goes, ‘No, no, no. You sit there. And I’ll secretly resent you.’”

On juggling motherhood and acting: “When my kids were babies, they traveled all over the world with me and came to work with me every day, and it was never frowned upon. I am very fortunate in that I can afford to have child care, and I always hired someone who was young and very flexible — so that was always my ‘entourage’: my kids and my babysitter. We’re both available as parents, and we’re a pretty great unit. And that’s not to say it’s all been a breeze, because it never is. There’s always stuff.”

On not believing in God: “I learned when my mother died five years ago that there is no ‘there’ there. Structure, it’s all imposed. We impose order and narrative on everything in order to understand it. Otherwise, there’s nothing but chaos.”

Shame she doesn’t believe in God. I think she is a great actress!

  • jason

    ugly ginger

  • Nicola

She’s a talented actor and a smart woman. I hope the Oscar goes to her.

    What a stupid ignorant comment.

It’s her business and I personally as an atheits apreciate when in the God loving US someone well known has guts to say they don’t believe.

  • Ana Esteves

I understand she is entitled to her opinion, just like any atheist. I just said that because MY opinion is that a faith in God can help during tough times in life. Anyways…

sorry for being so brusque :)

This is one of those things I will probably never understand. Why believing in God and heaven should help in anything when someone dies. They are still not here with those who love them. And the whole “better place”. For example, when mother dies and leaves her young child here, how could heaven be the better place for either one of them?

I’ve just never gotten to understand how it should comfort me. And I actually prefer the notion that there is no higher power, in whatever religion, no nothing. You die, the end of story.

i love freedom in everything , so i respect her opinion and i love her story about jennifer but that’s not a news , we already khow all that’s she’s super funny , you need just to watch her many interviews

  • hakuna.mataaaata

i agree with you , i think that the most beautiful and in the same time cruel thing in this world is actually time which is limited ,not compensatable , so precious because every moment is unique and never come back after it happened if heaven and God existed they would envy us ,
because you can only be bored in a world where time is undefined

    Stupid Jason.

I agree she is talented. But her comments on gun control are kind of flat earth on the core statistic. Gun murder is up? No it isn’t, the gun murder rate in the US has fallen 50% from 1993 to 2013 and fell again in 2014. The FBI site makes this clear,

Women are not normally flat earth but Pew Research found over 97% of US women describing themselves as Democrats are certain gun murder rate has “significantly risen” over the past 20 years — when it has in fact plummeted

” Otherwise, there’s nothing but chaos.” I disagree. That’s projection too, isn’t it? If there’s nothing but chaos, nothing would survive. Something as basic as the planets is based on order. The rules of physics work (relatively) precisely because of order – talk to a physicist and you’ll realise that there is order in the universe.

I find her too negative in interviews and plan to skip her posts from now on. She’s always on about death and how her mother died young and how we’re all middle aged. Boring and depressing! She needs a therapist or to find her particular God; she’ll be better off then.
