Charlie’s projects get made unlike Pattinson’s. He’s lucky he stars in a film with Charlie who is friends with Brad Pitt.

  • Kiki

Yes! I love Charlie and hopefully cumberbatch will start to fade soon, biggest con of the last few years IMO.

Too bad Rob isn’t dropping out. I watched The Rover the other day – and Guy was typically excellent and while RPatz wasn’t as horrible as I imagined, that part could have easily been played by someone else. Think Scott McNairy. Look – I’m willing to say that Patz isn’t as cardboard of an actor as his Twilight croonies but by no means is he on the same talent level as 99.9% of his costars in other films which comes through in every movie he is in.

From what I heard, McNairy auditioned for Pattinson’s role but didn’t get it, Michod liked Pattinson more and he made the right decision, because Pattinson was excellent in it and the majority of people who watched the movie agree. From many reviews and comments I’ve read about The Rover (which I really liked btw and was surprised by the very mixed reviews) it seems that you are actually in a very small minority, because most people admitted that Pattinson did a fantastic job and the nominations he got for this role (however small they may be) prove that, it is a huge step for him. I think he handled himself quite well while starring in movies with people like Pearce, Giamatti, Binoche, Waltz and Witherspoon. He clearly tries and wants to challenge himself, I can’t believe people like you who just complain how terrible he is and that he shouldn’t be cast in any movies, but how else is he supposed to learn? I respect him for choosing risky movies and challenging roles and I see a lot of potential, he may not be amazing just yet, but he didn’t have that many chances to prove himself and his recent performances are great, give the guy a chance ffs.

Too bad James Gray doesn’t agree with you nor Werner Herzog, nor David Cronenberg, nor Anton Corbjin, nor David Michod. He’s surpassing his detractors wishes.

  • Emma Bauer

They could have got someone other than Hunnam. Pattinson has been attached from beginning so stfu.

To think Rob has gone from the lightning rod of Twilight hate machine to working with these great directors speaks to his strong will and the talent they see in him.

  • Which one is Pink?

You are not on a fansite. Rpattz is just an afterthought. I hope he gets replaced.
