Though Ryan did not reveal the name, he did talk about fatherhood.

Ryan said, “It’s still so new that it’s hard to conceive being away for more than seven hours at a time. I had to go to Sundance this last week. I was more excited to get a good night’s sleep. It was borderline pornographic for me.”

Come on.. why don’t they just say the damn name ? People would stop speculate..

It’s “borderline pornographic for me”? Does he even know what “pornographic” means? What the h*ll does wanting to get a good night’s sleep have to do with pornography?

  • https://twitter.com/thedreadofpenny Penny Dreadful

    They’re special, dont’cha know??

  • Nikki

It would not be the end of it. It never is these days. Babies are seen as fair game. I wouldn’t want my infant’s name or images plastered all over the net, if I could help it. Parents are public figures, but baby is not. I respect wishes of parents. They can share what they want.

  • Nikki

Every child is special, or should be, at least to their parents.

  • elisa

agree !! he sounds very ignorant here, very poor choice of words to express his feeling about parenthood

  • Courtney Kennedy

these people are at best D listers so nobody cares what they named their daughter major stars have sold their children’s photos to magazines for 75 years back then in was in either movie magazines or life or time and it wasn’t as early as it is now

  • Anja

He just has a bigger vocabulary. Pornographic, as in obscene. He was so excited by prospect of sleep that it was borderline obscene.

  • https://twitter.com/thedreadofpenny Penny Dreadful

Bullsh*t. He could have just SAID “obscene”.

No intelligent person uses “pornographic” in that context.

  • https://twitter.com/thedreadofpenny Penny Dreadful

I was referring to the parents, for f*ck’s sake. Do you know what “reading in context” means?

  • Anja

So much anger over so little. Look up synonyms for obscene.

  • jane

similar to people saying “it was orgasmic” when talking about a food, no big deal

  • https://twitter.com/thedreadofpenny Penny Dreadful

No, it’s not the same. An orgasm is pleasure. Eating incredibly good food is pleasure. You feel these pleasures physically, in your body. The common denominator is “feels good”/pleasure.

There is no comparison between pornography and being happy to get a good night’s sleep. PERIOD.

  • https://twitter.com/thedreadofpenny Penny Dreadful

Yes, stupidity — and obstinacy of stupidity in the face of being corrected — makes my blood boil. I have no regrets.

Let me repeat this will small words for you: pornography is often considered “obscene”. Obscene is defined as “repulsive”, “indecent”, “offensive”, “disgusting”, and numerous other negative meanings — NONE of which apply to being happy to get a good night’s sleep.

Calling me “angry” and telling me to look up words does not change the fact that you’re wrong. I’m not sure why you need so badly to force this point, but you are WRONG.

  • charlie

Whatever makes you feel better. Don’t give yourself a heart attack over being proven wrong. It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last.

  • charlie

You seem to take an obscene amount of pleasure in arguing. It’s almost pornographic.

  • charlie

They think they’re ‘special’ because they believe their infant deserves to not have her name all over the Internet? Nah. That’s the way it should be.

  • charlie

And yet you’re still bothering to read and comment. The world was a lot different 75 years ago. It was safer, and the media was easier to manage. And some of those kids raised in the public eye did not fare so well. Today’s celebs are roundly criticized for arranging photos, but the spotlight is far more intense and wide ranging now.

  • jane

i guess you don’t watch porn, cuz it is “feels good”/pleasure to lots of people.
