Richard Sherman & Girlfriend Ashley Moss Welcome Baby Boy Rayden!

Richard Sherman‘s girlfriend Ashley Moss gave birth to their baby boy named Rayden, and the little one has perfect timing!

The 26-year-old football cornerback tweeted the news to his fans.

“My son sure does know how to make an entrance! 2/5/15… Is it a coincidence or is he just that clever?! Either way I’m ecstatic,” he wrote. Richard‘s jersey number for the Seattle Seahawks is #25.

The news of the little guy’s name came from a tweet from Peter King, a writer at Sport’s Illustrated.

They should have named the kid Loser like his dad.

  • mm366

His father isn’t a loser by any stretch of the imagination and the only people who have a problem with him speaking his mind and the truth or those not comfortable with a black man having the nerve to speak his mind and the truth.
FYI: Richard Sherman graduated with a 4.1 GPA from Stanford with a degree in communications and was highly recruited out of Dominguez High in Compton, Cal, where he had a 4.2 GPA but chose Stanford over nearby USC because he wanted to make a statement about the importance of education, becoming the first athlete from Compton to attend Stanford.

โ€œIโ€™m from Compton, and itโ€™s hard for people to understand that you can be an athlete and have high academic standards and achieve high academic things,โ€ Sherman said. โ€œAnd so I really wanted to make that know to people that you can go to Stanford from Compton.โ€
