Bruce Jenner Car Crash: Cops Seek Search Warrant for Phone

Police are still investigating the fatal car crash that involved Bruce Jenner and several other vehicles, one of which a driver was left dead.

According to TMZ, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. will get a search warrant to determine if Bruce was texting at the time he slammed into a car.

It is illegal to text and drive in California, but law enforcement sources tell the site that it would be difficult to prove if he was texting at the exact moment of impact. Though, if proven, he could possibly face a vehicular manslaughter charge.

The site also reports that Bruce clearly tried to avoid the accident and swerve out of the way, which is evidenced by the skid marks on the road from his car. Apparently, he was being followed by paparazzi at the time.

While police officers didn’t check his phone at the scene, Bruce reportedly performed a field sobriety test and passed.

Our thoughts are still with all of those involved. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
