Why are you people of Grammys give to Enrrique Iglesias a STATUS he doesn’t deserve , he is not at PRINCE LEVEL or a level that he should give the MAIN Category WINNER OF THE SHOW IS THIS HOW LOW MUSIC INDUSTRY HAS GET , OR THE GRAMMY´S?

  • Tanya

Glad I’m not the only one who thought this. At least have the presenter be someone who has previously won in this category (excluding the Latin Grammy). It just makes more sense to have a previous winner present the award, not someone who hasn’t even been nominated in the category they are presenting, especially since it was one of the main categories.

    Exactly

This guys is a regular MEDIOCRE person in the music Industry he is not a solid respectful artist and that is my concept of him, he doesn’t deserve that status he needs to work more he still being very SHALLOW as an “artist”

  • thefalloutboy

let me insight you on somethings

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_awards_and_nominations_received_by_Enrique_Iglesias . He has over 150 awards from more than 400 noms. He is a succesful, well respected artist who people love. Also check him out, his fb page has well over 52 million fans which is rare for a hispanic and pretty rare for an artist in general. He has sold over 100 Million albums. His latest song bailando was the second most viewed video. It has more than 700 million views. It could potentially become the latin gangnam style. He rarely has any haters, and even given that, he shuns them. Rather than always hating for no reason try find something nice to say.

This is all that you got?, then you don´t have anything you just lost

He won a non-Latin Grammy before. Also, his latest song Bailando was the 2nd most viewed in the world and it was a hit song in the USA as well.

Why do you go on every Enrique page you can find and trash him? You may dislike his music, but there are people from many countries who like him, and we do not need you to tell us that you don’t like his music on every page – we can decide for ourselves. For his current album, he received 3x Platinum from 9 Spanish/European countries and he’s the 2nd highest selling artist of Latin music in USA. The news recently stated his current sales count is 137,000,000 records. He’s also a very kind person in real life who’s supported many charities and stayed faithful to his girlfriend for 12 years, so he really does not deserve your hatred. When there are groups of handicapped people at his concerts, he goes over and hugs them. Recently, a father told him that his son who has cancer is a big fan – he got out of his car, asked him if there was anything he could do, and also gave an encouraging message that the father taped for his son. He does things like this all the time.

I never said he hasn’t won a non-Latin Grammy, and didn’t deny his popularity. All I said was that they should’ve had someone who has previously won in the category they are presenting, it just seems more appropriate. For example, the Academy Awards, the major awards are usually presented by someone who has previously won in that category.
