    ………………..who is this selma anyway?

  • nunya biznatch

they had me until they brought Ferguson into the song. As long as you are going to put a criminal who attacked a police officer on a pedestal, you lose all credibility. There are millions of law abiding GOOD black men to put on that pedestal… why a criminal?!?! Makes no sense.

  • Judy Zabriskie

I so agree with nunya biznatch – bring someone credible on board! So very sick of racism as a whole. John Legend – just in case you didn’t know it let me be the first to inform you that your WIFE is not black but Thai and Norwegian (so if you are so racist what are you doing married to her? Plenty of fish in the black sea.) So sick of all this racist BS from all these supposed do gooders when they themselves married women who are NOT black. Practice what you preach or better yet just shut up and let us all be one big intermingled race now. We have all had our strife and now it is time to put it aside, move on and just be the human race but then people like Al and Jesse wouldn’t have a job and Kanye (Kim’s not black in case you didn’t notice) and John (married to very white Chrissy) would have nothing to blame their losses on. So disappointed in these so called advocates for justice.

  • alorwa

For your knowledge Thai aren’t white, they are from Southern Asia. So, sorry to tell you Chrissy isn’t “very white”.

  • alorwa

I don’t know, is it possible to call a city “a criminal”? So the city of Ferguson attacked a police officer?!! Is that even possible?!!

  • Judy Zabriskie

/watch your grammar it is Thai isn’t white and no one said she was WHITE totally but she sure as heck isn’t BLACK either. She is mixed race and none of the mix is Black so John Legend can get over it.

  • alorwa

I meant Thai (people) , but no problem thank you for reminding me that I’ve missed the word “people”. And actually, you said she’s “very” white. I don’t know what the word “very” means to you?! However, in the dictionary very means: emphasizing the exact identity of a particular person or thing.

  • Judy Zabriskie

Listen I don’t want a fight but I am mixed and I am sick of people saying one thing and doing another. No she is not pure white but she sure as heck isn’t black either and truly does it matter? I think enough is enough and it is fine to not like someone or to fear someone but def not because of race. You will have to excuse me but I am a stickler for grammar as my residents seem to think that they can write in text code on patient charts and my patience is wearing thin but meant no offense just that we all live here and we all coexist here and race never mattered to me nor should it to anyone else as I am hopeful we have evolved to a level where you either like some or you don’t and it is because of who they are not what the color of their skin is.
