David Carr Dead - 'New York Times' Columnist Dies at 58
In sad news, legendary New York Times columnist David Carr died at the age of 58 on Thursday (February 12).
Earlier that same day, he led a TimesTalks discussion with Edward Snowden and Citizenfour director Laura Poitras.
“For the past 25 years, Mr. Carr wrote about media,” a member of The Times wrote in a post for the site. “He joined The Times in 2002 as a business reporter covering the magazine publishing industry. His column appeared in the Monday business section and focused on media issues, including print, digital, film, radio and television.”
Our thoughts are with David‘s wife, Jill, and their daughters Maddie, Erin and Meagan during their difficult time.
