David Carr's Cause of Death Revealed, New York Times Columnist Was Battling Lung Cancer

David Carr was battling lung cancer according to an autopsy taken after his death on Thursday evening in New York City.

The 58-year-old New York Times media columnist passed away in his office from “complications of metastatic small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the lung,” according to The Times.

The chief medical examiner of New York City also said that heart disease contributed to his death.

David battled Hodgkin’s lymphoma in the past and even wrote about it in his memoir, “The Night of the Gun.”

Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

I am confused. Did Carr’s bosses know he had aggressive lung cancer or did he hide it from them? If you watch the video of his last event just a couple of hours before he died, he has a very bad cough.
