Sir Paul associating with all these Pop stars is really hurting him for me.

Every generation gets blessed with the ultimate perfect celebrity who embodies all the qualities required to be the All American White Girl Next door in the public eye.
Every generation gets a “can’t do no wrong and even if she did we will “Shake It Off” star.
I ain’t a Taylor Swift hater and in fact, I find her fascinating. She is without blemish, everyone loves her. She’s “friendly” with an eclectic slew of other musicians and others in the entertainment world BUT, her personal friends all look just like her (so to speak) and that’s ok. She’s talented and she’s smart and very self aware (as she should be.) I’ve simply pointed out that she’s very on top of WHY she’s on top and will do nothing EVER to “self-topple.”. She’ll never date a guy who isn’t white. She’ll never live anywhere but America. She’ll never get caught in an affair. I’m more curious to see her in 20 years and hope I’m around to see how and what she’ll produce Taylor Swift at 40+.

Why? If you feel that way about him then you really don’t have a clue who James “Paul” McCartney is. He probably more than anyone else in the Beatles was and remains a “musician’s musician” (Ringo too a lesser degree) and he loved/s all music. It was Paul who really pushed the Beatles to step further out of the box and experiment with recording and writing like Brian Wilson/Beach Boys were doing? Did you know he’s been into electronica/dance music for like over 20 years and put out multiple LP’s? He’s been a rap fan from the beginning. He’s been into scoring movies and composing for orchestra. He’s the only Beatle who read music and that’s because he taught himself how to much later (post Beatles). He’s someone who never stops the creative process and I admire that. He’s not a music snob or poseur purist. Being young doesn’t mean I can’t love and be interested in the music that was around before even my parents were OR, Paul being old enough to be my grandfather doesn’t mean he can’t be interested in music and musician’s now (disclosure: I’m not a Rihanna OR Kanye fan)
