George Clooney Calls Anna Kendrick 'Wildly Talented'

Anna Kendrick becomes a pretty little ballerina on the cover of Net-A-Porter’s The Edit

Check out what the 29-year-old actress had to share:

On looking forward to maturing in the industry; “I know that things will be more complicated as an older actress, in ways that I can’t anticipate, but I would really enjoy getting to the point where the reason I’m getting roles or not isn’t based on if somebody thinks I’m hot enough. I feel like I’ve always been a character actress, and this is a blip in my career where I’m playing the ingénue. I’ll be a lot more comfortable and get excited when I’m playing women who aren’t supposed to be pretty.”

On Twitter: “I love seeing what people respond to and think is funny; it’s kind of a puzzle. Trying to express yourself in 140 characters can be this little word game. . . Some people play Candy Crush; I try to perfect my tweets.”

George Clooney on Anna: “There’s everything to like about Anna. She’s wildly talented, smart, and great fun to be around. And she’s going to be around for a long time.”

Anna is also pictured below arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles for a departing flight on Friday afternoon (February 13).

She’s a Clooney bot. None of my $.

  • lshelton22

She seems pleasant enough but I don’t see her as a Hollywood “leading lady.”

  • Vy Nguyen

Twice she mentioned about roles and being pretty. She’s not that pretty and her acting is pretty one-dimension.

  • Hades

    That Twilight movie though…

  • Patrick Downing

Thatis amazing yoou think like that.

  • Patrick Downing

Her acting, singing, and dancing are all outstanding.

  • beautylover

she isn’t she plays the same character in every movie and her singing is annoying !

  • Cate

I do find it odd she’s placing so much emphasis on being cast for her looks. It’s not like she’s a Megan Fox type of ‘hot’ actress who gets cast for her appearance. Looks play a part as she isn’t hideous but most of her roles seems to be more character / humour driven or due to her singing ability

  • beautylover

yeah i didn’t understand what she meant either compared to other actresses her age she’s very plain !

  • FormerLamark

Yes, because Clowney is just the “talented” one who knows exactly what “talent” means.

  • j k

she has no appeal at all, bland

Anna Kendrick is incredibly talented! Make sure to check her out in the new movie musical, The Last Five Years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FKjLJZdycI&feature=youtu.be

Six years already since George filmed Up In The Air with Anna.
When she asked him that classic line in the film whether he had ever been in love & he gave a heartfelt reply… only to deny it.

    What a disappointment…

I could watch Anna Kendrick do her taxes and have a good time.

I don´t agree. Above you can read: ” but I would really enjoy getting to the point where the reason I’m getting roles or not isn’t based on if somebody thinks I’m hot enough. I feel like I’ve always been a character actress” (“George Clooney calls Anna Kendrick …).
