So exited for her to shine on Broadway. It’s a dream come true and I’m so happy for her.

I’m really happy for her and I will for sure check out the show on Broadway but I have such an issue with this promo for Gigi. It’s like they’re trying to sell tickets using Holly Golightly Breakfast at Tiffany’s Audrey Hepburn style Vanessa which has nothing in common with Gigi! I love Audrey, I grew up on Audrey, and I know she did Gigi on Broadway but this promo just feels so wrong. Vanessa is a big enough artist and could have easily promoted it and done a successful job as GIGI not Holly!

I love Vanessa this is not a slam on her by any means, wish her all the best!

New reviews of Gigi. This is for Welly,Nightwish and for other haters:

VARIETY:Performances on the whole are sturdy. Hudgens delivers a solid performance in a challenging role that requires a transition from impetuous brat to mature young woman. A strong singer, Hudgens nails both her vocal and dancing duties, with the former especially showcased in Act One’s spunky “The Parisians.”

STACY MURPHY :I was honestly concerned with the casting of Vanessa Hudgens as Gigi, it just didn’t seem like quite the right fit. Leslie Caron was completely perfect in the film adaptation; as I’m sure Audrey Hepburn was in the original stage version in 1951. As the performance neared, I was finding it hard to compare the classic Gigi with the one currently listed in the Playbill. To my surprise, I couldn’t have been more wrong. Vanessa Hudgens was resplendent. She completely captured the essence of Gigi in her tone, mannerisms, and care-free laughter. Bravo, Vanessa, for a truly incredible performance!

JAYNE BLANCHAR: Hudgens is a delight as Gigi and the production is as pretty as a Renoir pastel portrait. Yet on the whole–with the exception of Hoty and Clark, who embody the decorous allure of turn-of-the-century women of their station–there is not a lot particularly, charmingly Parisian
    about Gigi.

I told agree with you he did hurt her career

Hahaha looks like Gabriella beat Sharpay in making it to Broadway. Very proud of her and wish I could see the show

  • PlayNice

The only reason Hudgens was a bigger name back in the day was because Zac Efron HELPED her career.
