happy for eddie but gutted for michael keaton as he may not get another chance to win an Oscar

  • drea

really… ? michael keaton was the best performance i’ve ever seen.

  • Gabrielle

I actually screamed when he won. Its so deserved! He completely transformed himself mind, body, and soul in that movie. Considering the immense pressure he was under to play such an iconic person, his performance was flawless and natural. Go Eddie!

  • Gabrielle

Not necessarily. ..Birdman will open doors for him a la Robert Downey, Jr. That was his first role in years and he got nominated for an Oscar! He will definitely get another chance.

  • Jon M’Shulla

He certainly looked thrilled to win. Tough field too.

  • tia maria

well I hope he does because I loved him in Birdman

So happy for him! I was watching the movie and I saw Stephen Hawking (while in Birdman I saw Michael Keaton). Amazing performance, so much effort he put in this, but it looked so natural. I’ve read that Hawking cried when he saw the movie, because he felt like it’s really him and his life on the screen, that is the highest award! And Eddie’s reaction on stage was so touching! Congrats!

If you heard another voice screaming, that would have been me. Not to take away from the others, but that was one tough role and he nailed it.

As much as I wanted Michael Keaton to win, Eddie truly deserved to honor. H
