When I think of Joan Rivers, I don’t really think of movies or her having a career in the movies. Isn’t that who is honored at the Oscars, more movie people? I would have thought she would be honored more at award shows that revolve around television, which she was, right?

Now Elaine Stritch, that’s another story. She definitely should have been honored.

And Elaine Stritch. Elaine was mostly Broadway and television and Joan television but, they both had a big presence in the whole and even if they only were bit parts on the big screen, they still were a part of that medium and should have been recognized and I find it lazy, dismissive and wrong that just a mention was too hard for the Oscar producers.
