Taylor Swift Crowned IFPI Global Recording Artist Of 2014!
Taylor Swift is thrilled to see her fans outside the BBC Radio 1 Studios on Tuesday morning (February 24) in London, England.
The 25-year-old entertainer made sure to take time to pose with fans and sign autographs before heading in to chat with Dave Berry for The Capital FM Breakfast Show.
Taylor has just been named Global Recording Artist of 2014 by the international trade group IFPI. The annual award honors the year’s top artist across physical sales, downloads and streaming worldwide.
“Congratulations to Taylor Swift,” said IFPI chief Frances Moore (via Billboard). “She merits this result as she is a hardworking and talented performer who has an amazing ability to connect with audiences worldwide. This IFPI award reflects the global popularity of recording artists across the diverse ways in which fans choose to listen to music today.”
