'House of Cards' Spoilers: Season 3 Starts With a Big Twist!

Kevin Spacey walks the red carpet while attending the 2015 Goldene Kamera Awards on Friday (February 27) at Messehallen in Hamburg, Germany.

Also in attendance at the awards show was singer Nile Rodgers.

The third season of Kevin‘s hit Netflix series House of Cards became available for streaming that same day and the season was off to a big start in the first episode.

Kevin‘s character Frank Underwood is now the President of the United States and right at the beginning of the episode, we were treated to a pretty big twist.

Doug Stamper is alive!

When the episode starts, Frank is seen going to a cemetery and we are led to believe he is going to visit the grave of Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly). The character, who is the politician’s adviser, was hit in the head by Rachel (Rachel Brosnahan) at the end of season 2 and left for dead in the woods.

Well, Doug is alive and was found lying in the woods by someone and rushed to the hospital. He recovered in the hospital and headed home, where he is not physically all there yet. Make sure to watch the series for more info on what is going on!
