Dakota Johnson's Parents Melanie Griffith & Don Johnson Make 'Saturday Night Live' Cameo - Watch All the Skits!

Dakota Johnson gets asked about Fifty Shades of Grey during her opening monologue on Saturday Night Live on Saturday (February 28) in New York City.

The 25-year-old actress’ famous parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson actually make a cameo as embarrassed parents.

Dakota tells a story about how she was possibly conceived during the night in 1988 when her mom hosted SNL. “Are you embarrassed I told that story?” she asked them.

    She was great,very talented girl!

  • boohoo

she seems quite shy…quite adorable…looks her her father with some of her mothers mannerisms..beautiful child.Parents did good

  • Lee

after seeing 50 shades, i became a fan of Dakota:)

  • Marko Gordo

    She was great

  • lucia

I am the only one who think this show was horrible I am in drama school and I can tell you she is bad in here no personality, boring and no funny at makes you only smile but not laugh she always doing the same in every video , her performance is awful! I didn’t see fifty shades of grey but I she’s doing that in the movie I can understand why so many people hated the movie

  • carrie

She’s the real best part of the movie .She’s a pleasure to see and save the movie .The problem ( outside of the bad idiotic script very faithful to the book) is Christian Grey.Dorman is not at ease and looks a humorless sociopath .

  • Lilly

So cute , loved her parents there in the audience. Her skit with the student interviewing her was hilarious

  • Lilly

Jamie was adorable in the movie I loved him as Christian and Dakota is just fantastic I really see her taking off after this and doing more mainstream movies

  • lucia

Like I said I didn’t see the movie so I can really judge it , but her performance in SNL was awful

  • carrie

The opening monologue looked good and she’s charming with a real presence. After,my English isn’t enough good to judge the skits but I know SNL is not my humor

  • Steve

    great legs!

  • anaranaz

I’m glad this young woman is enjoying her moment in the spotlight. However, it was absolutely tasteless to bring up her divorced parents’ marriage proposal and act of conception – not only did I cringe b/c that is not something I care to hear, I imagine it was uncomfortable for Melanie, Don, and Don’s wife. I have a funny story about walking in on a friend and his former wife in bed – but they are divorced now and there is no way I’d bring that up to my friend or his new wife.

  • Barb

I think she did a splendid job. She really has very little experience and handled herself well.

  • jessica408

SNL has terrible material. I think she did a good job, based on the material she was given.

  • luna

everything she’s gonna do now she gonna bring her mom to be sure that people watch it?

  • Char69

While I can see that bringing up the funny story about your friend and his ex-wife in bed in front of the new wife would be totally tacky, I disagree wholeheartedly with the Melanie, Don, SNL thing. They produced a beautiful child together, Dakota, and no new wife can ever take that away and Dakota should be able to talk about stories about HER parents.

Does everyone already know why she clearly got the role?
She has a nice figure btw.

  • Anastasia Vasilieva

Her teeth creep me out every time she smiles.

Lol no. But her mom and daddy surely helped.

  • Broadzilla

I actually thought she was pretty good on SNL. She seemed very comfortable and not nervous.

Donna Johnson, the britshit actor using a fake American name, on an import show America hasn`t watched in over 35 years if ever. This JJ is obviously a britshit marketing troll site.

  • Shenanigans

she was OK. the skits were not even remotely funnny. terrible stuff.

Tell it like it is already!!

  • tahoegeminii

as EVERYTONE KNOWS including Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd-SNL was only funny for the cocaine years-and for the last 10 years it has just been awful-but then everything about 50 shades is awful from it’s blog conception to it’s really bad author to the hideous mommy pornnn movie and especially the frightful casting-the only thing noticed here is that Melanoma looks like the grimm reaper -Dakota at 25? aging worse than her mother and Don Johnson looks better than any of them despite being almost 10 year older than Melanoma

  • DJ Homeless Mike

Looking at Melanie Griffith’s face makes me wonder if Hollywood has any qualified plastic surgeons at all.

  • anaranaz

She doesn’t own her parents’ past and she’s old enough to be expected to show tact towards her family (parents and stepmom) and others….I certainly don’t feel at liberty to say anything about my parents just because they are my parents and it isn’t about anyone taking anything away.
