Hugh Jackman's 'Chappie' Leads Slow Box Office Weekend

It was a super slow weekend at the box office and Hugh Jackman‘s new film Chappie came in number one with a low $13.3 million.

Last weekend’s holdover Focus starring Will Smith came in at number two with $10 million while The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel debuted with $8.6 million for third place.

Rounding out the top five were Kingsman: The Secret Service with $8.3 million and The Spongebob Movie with $7 million.

Fifty Shades of Grey dropped to number six with $5.6 million and a cumulative gross of $156.4 million in its fourth weekend.

Vince Vaughn‘s Unfinished Business had a disappointing debut with just $4.8 million for a tenth place start. This was the lowest box office debut of his career for a major release.
