10 Dead in French Reality Show Helicopter Crash

It has just been announced that 10 people have tragically died after two helicopters crashed mid-air during a shoot for the French reality TV show Dropped on Monday (March 9) in Argentina.

Some of dead passengers included sports stars – champion sailor Florence Arthaud, 57, Olympic gold medalist swimmer Camille Muffat, 25, and Olympic boxer Alexis Vastine, 28.

The police and firefighters are currently hard at work recovering the dead bodies at the crash site, which occurred near the town of Villa Castelli.

“An explosion occurred, and it’s believed that they must have collided,” La Rioja Secretary of Security Cesar Angulo said in a statement.

If you weren’t aware, Dropped is a reality show, which features celebrities being blindfolded and put in inhospitable environments, where they have to fend for themselves and survive.
