Mindy Kaling Reveals the Hardships of Dating & Being Famous

Mindy Kaling steps out for an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Wednesday (March 11).

The 35-year-old actress talked about the hardships of dating while being famous – everyone expects her to be like her The Mindy Project character!

“I am dating but one of the challenges I have noticed is that I’m not very much like my character, who is very wild,” Mindy said. “And I think that when I got on dates there’s this expectation that I’m going to have like 11 martinis and like pass out and spend the night really soon.”

“And I think people get a little disappointed because my true self I could never do that like have a one-night stand,” Mindy added. “Because I have my medications that I have to take at night I have to be at my house and like do my flossing. I have all that stuff. And you didn’t want to know that, but.”
