Jamie Dornan Responds to Rumors About Wife Amelia Warner

Jamie Dornan is speaking out after rumors have been spreading that his wife Amelia Warner doesn’t want him to star in the Fifty Shades of Grey sequels.

“The idea was that we honor the trilogy and do all three,” the 32-year-old actor told the Daily Mail.

“Total b*****ks!” Jamie said of the rumors. “Of course she would have read the scripts well in advance, and she’s massively supportive of Fifty Shades.”

Jamie also responded to talk of him not having chemistry with co-star Dakota Johnson.

“They wouldn’t have shot the film with us if there was a chemistry problem… whatever chemistry means,” he said. “You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get a part like this, and they simply wouldn’t have cast us.”

I hate to say I told you so, but…

  • Tonya

These rumors have long been put to rest, and I never did believe either one.

  • Evelyn

Can we just move on already. The rumors have been put to rest and Jamie is coming back. There was never any doubt in my mind of his return. I really couldn’t see anyone else in that role now. Both he and Dakota were awesome, and boy can he make a suit look good. He’s absolutely gorgeous. His wife is one lucky woman.

  • Tonya

He can make a leather jacket, a white dress shirt and jeans, low-riding jeans, and nothing at all look good, too. ;) She’s enviously lucky.

  • Ash

He was a model turned actor aka a talentless manwh*re that would do anything for fame and money. Charlie Hunnam would make a better Christian Grey anyway but it is what it is so just enjoy your fame while it lasts.

  • https://twitter.com/thedreadofpenny Penny Dreadful

LOL, Jamie. Too late. We all read, heard, and remember your numerous negative comments about the role, the sex and nudity, your wife’s feelings and how she refuses to watch the movie, and your own admitted embarrassment. Don’t bother trying to back-pedal now.

  • Jennifer

his movie has made 500 million so take a hike with such shit u write…and wow such cheap words…charlie hunnam wouldnt have made a better one he looks too old…not 27 and his show just ended haha…

  • Jennifer

    right on! hes hot!

  • Jennifer

so what…being honest doesnt mean he doesnt accept the role, he took it coz he also mentioned in interview teh pained charecters he somehow likes….so give it a rest

  • Jennifer

Jamie was perfect as the hard headed and stern christian grey, anyone whos read the book can tell that he isnt easy going and is often times very stern with no emotions….and jamie plays that to eperfection…ppl feel that hes not acted well, if they understood the book, they will see he cant express his emotions well in the first book, its only in the 2nd one he starts becoming more loving and realising hes in love wit her madly…so for all the haters 500 MILLION IN YOUR FACE…and no promotion can beat the fact that the movie was AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGg!!!

  • Ash

So because of that he’s a good actor? Who are you kidding? People really went to watch that movie because of sex scenes in it and nothing else. Any actor could have played the role and the outcome would be the same. Get your head out of your Ass!

  • Ash

Shut up Jennifer! You’re just one horny lady. Think with your brain not your p*ssy.

  • Tonya

He says he enjoys characters that challenge him as an actor. It’s the same with his role as Paul Spector in The Fall. He’s playing someone completely opposite of who he is in real life. He says he’s drawn to troubled characters. He’s never said he is embarrassed and whether or not Amelia actually watches the movie has nothing to do with whether or not she’s supportive of it. Actors themselves often have a hard time watching themselves in movies. Why not those closest to them? She was the one who encouraged him to do it in the first place. Who are you going to believe, all the old, unfounded rumors started by nameless “sources” that were long put to rest and never believed by smart people, or Jamie himself?

  • Casual Observer

You have a good point. Because Dornan had such a lousy attitude about the franchise, etc. could really put a damper on the fans enthusiasm. I mean who wants to watch a sequel when you know the lead actor hates the movie and his role? Dakota can’t feel too good about acting with someone who does not want to act alongside her.

Also, I find it a tad unbelievable that his wife is “massively” supportive but refuses to even watch the film. Does she know that the second book is steamier than the first?

  • Tonya

No, not aka what you said. He never did like modeling. Wanted nothing more to do with it. He wants to be a respected actor, not viewed as a model. He gives The Fall credit for getting him where he is now. If you think he’s talentless you need to do more investigation and go watch The Fall. Charlie Hunnam is a neanderthal next to Jamie Dornan. It was fortunate and meant to be that he quit. The director herself says that Jamie was meant to play it. He’s going to be a much loved, popular and sought after star for years to come, especially since he’s so loved, talented, and well-liked by all who know him. The fact that you speak of him in this manner at all shows you don’t know him at all.

  • xxx.AIDS.xxx

Tell a lie or ask for divorce

  • Tonya

No. People want to watch it for the story. And now, a lot of people want to watch it because of Jamie, too. No, not any actor could’ve played Christian. He had to have the look, the chemistry with Dakota, and the acting talent, all of which Jamie was judged to have by top professionals who wanted nothing more than for this movie to be a success. The only person with their head in their orifice is you.

  • Tonya

He loves his wife and his daughter much more than Hollywood.

  • Hawkey

Dornan’s acting capability reminds of that lead actor in those vampire/warewolves movies.. Stiff, cold, forced, & constipated

  • lshelton22

People are just so pressed that this movie did well, it’s hilarious. I didn’t like the books, thought the movie was decent (for what it was) and see no point in projecting hate all over the place. I hope Jamie and Dakota get a lot of money for the sequels.

  • Ash

Yeah and you know him. Oh please! FYI I did watch The Fall so I know exactly what I was talking about. He is a below mediocre actor but he might go far in this business because of his looks and his willingness to act in a porn..oops sorry movie like this.

  • Missy

Dear Jamie, there was a reason why they want Charlie Hunnam in the 1rst place and not you.

  • Tonya

The fans know that Jamie is pleased with how well it’s done and is excited to continue. The fans know that he and Dakota are good friends. You can be massively supportive and not want to watch it. Stars themselves often find it difficult to watch their own movies. Why not those closest to them? I’m sure Dakota’s mom, Melanie, is massively supportive of her, too, but doesn’t want to watch the movie. Doesn’t mean she wants it and her daughter to fail. I’m not big into nudity in movies, either, but I’m massively supportive of this movie (and have watched it) because I’m a Jamie Dornan fan. I want it to be successful, for him. Her scruples make complete sense. I don’t know where you’re getting this crap.

  • Tonya

Because he was more well-known. Jamie was actually in the running at the same time as Charlie. Now the director says it worked out the way it was supposed to. Jamie was meant to play the part.

  • Missy

You are some disillusioned lady. Charlie Hunnam’s career will much bigger than Jamie Dornan ever will, I promise you. Call ya in some years when all people will ask “Jamie who”?

  • Tonya

He played Christian perfectly, and I can’t wait to see how he continues it.

  • Tonya

    Nope.

  • Ash

Yeah what else they could have said? Gosh some people are so naive I just can’t believe it!

  • Tonya

Better than you, obviously. And many people are fans of and praise him in The Fall. He’s even won awards for it. So who’s right? Little old you or everyone else, including industry leaders? Looks never hurt anyone. I’m grateful that this guy who is going to be around in a lot of movies is fun to look at, for sure. He doesn’t bank on his look, however. He is one of those infuriating people who are ridiculously good-looking and doesn’t even know it.

  • Missy

Have you ever seen a movie or SoA with Charlie Hunnam? I guess not. He’s a far better actor than Jamie Dornan.

  • Ash

    And horny. Lol!

  • Ash

    Exactly! He’s a great actor!

  • Missy

He looks like a little boy to me. But yeah, if you like him so much good for you ^^

  • Missy

And he has an ass to die for! Just sayin’ ^^

  • Tonya

They wouldn’t have chosen him if he didn’t have what they wanted. They wouldn’t have risked the movie like that. They’re all professionals and this is big business. And she and most everyone else is grateful that it ended up being Jamie, so she’s not saying it alone. FYI, Jamie and Sam Taylor-Johnson are now close friends. He says she’s one of his favorite people in the world. Obviously things went well.

  • Missy

Sounds like a fan fiction to me.

  • Tonya

He doesn’t like how young he looks. That’s one of the reasons he wears facial hair all the time. He says not having facial hair even makes him move differently because he’s so uncomfortable. But it made him perfect for the part. Christian Grey is said to be young-looking for his age. Someday he’ll be grateful that he looks younger than his age, and I think he should enjoy his youth now.

  • Tonya

Nope. I just really like and respect the guy. It’s impossible not to like him if you’ve seen him in interviews.

  • Missy

To me he had zero charisma in “50 Shades…”, sorry.

  • Ash

    Me neither.

  • Tonya

I don’t do or read or waste my time with that crap. Guess it worked for E.L. James, though.

  • Tonya

Yeah, and I use to think he was cute, but he’s a lot older-looking than Jamie, and haggard. He doesn’t fit the part. He’s also had a lot more experienced than Jamie. But Jamie was creepy good in The Fall, and was cold, troubled, but lovable in Fifty.

  • Missy

Oh c’mon it’s just a little discussion, nothing more ;)

  • Tonya

To me he had a lot. A lot of his acting in 50 is in little looks, smiles and in his eyes. He was just very serial killery in The Fall. I’m looking forward to seeing what he does as a Czech soldier war hero and a doctor, etc., in his upcoming stuff.

  • elisa

don’t loose your time replying tonya, she is clearly a crazy fifty shades fans who takes the time to answer EVERY comment in this post for over an hour and trying to justify dorman’s bad acting and lack of career by bashing charlie hunnam just like a teenager.

  • Ash

Alright Tonya you win! Jesus! Now you can go and fantasize about being Anastasia and let that sex maniac Christian Grey do all those crazy things on you peacefully! It is meaningless to argue with the likes of you.

  • Jennifer

    spot on tonya!

  • Tonya

Like Fifty haters are bashing Jamie like teenagers and wasting their time responding? FYI, I’m not that big of a Fifty fan. I like the story, but I wouldn’t have watched it without Jamie being in it. I’m a fan of his, long before Fifty.

  • Jennifer

then ppl would have gone to see a PORN movie which u get online for free…haha and the sex scenes pls!! they were like for 10 mins, u cant go for the movie for that…so get real

  • Tonya

I’m not into the Anastasia/Christian “stanning” stuff. I also don’t fantasize about this book, and am not interested in some of its subject matter. I liked the story itself well enough, but I watched the movie solely because Jamie was in it. Wouldn’t have, otherwise.
