'Cinderella' Tops Weekend Box Office With $70 Million Debut

Disney’s Cinderella debuted to a whopping $70.1 million domestically, taking the No. 1 spot at the box office!

According to THR, the live action fairytale, starring Lily James, Cate Blanchett, and Richard Madden, grossed $132.1 million worldwide.

Coming in at No. 2 was Liam Neeson‘s new action flick Run All Night, which opened to a cool $11 million.

Taking the third spot was Kingsman: The Secret Service, starring Colin Firth and Taron Egerton, which grossed an additional $6.2 million for a North American total of $107.4 million.

Rounding out the top five were Will Smith and Margot Robbie‘s Focus and Hugh Jackman‘s Chappie, which tied with $5.8 million.

Meanwhile, Fifty Shades of Grey only brought in an addition $2.9 million, placing at No. 11 for the weekend.
