Oscar Winner Liza Minnelli Enters Rehab For Substance Abuse

Liza Minnelli has entered a Malibu rehab facility to deal with substance abuse, her rep confirms to JustJared.com.

The 69-year-old legendary actress, who won an Academy Award for her portrayal in the cinematic version of Cabaret, is reportedly making “excellent progress” at the treatment facility.

“Liza Minnelli has valiantly battled substance abuse over the years and whenever she has needed to seek treatment she has done so. She is currently making excellent progress at an undisclosed facility,” Liza‘s rep Scott Gorenstein said to JustJared.com in a statement.

Liza has been in the center for several days and her issue is reportedly due to alcohol.

Liza has been in rehab before, most recently in 2004, and her mother, the famous Judy Garland, also had issues with addiction.
