Chris Pine Explains Shedding a Single Tear at the Oscars 2015

Chris Pine is addressing that teary-eyed photo that went viral after the 2015 Oscars.

“Chris, you were also at the Academy Awards this year. We’ve got a picture of you here…You seem to be crying,” The Late Late Show host James Corden asked Chris on the show, holding up the photo, which appears to show just a single tear in Chris‘ eyes.

“Did you get any stink for this, or was it OK?” James asked his Into the Woods co-star.

“Yeah, I got a lot of…it was a wonderful performance and it was really moving. A lot of people gave me a lot of crap for it,” Chris said, adding that the moment happened during John Legend and Common‘s moving performance of “Glory,” which won Best Song.
