Mark Wahlberg Producing Boston Marathon Bombing Movie 'Patriot's Day'

Mark Wahlberg and his producing team have announced their upcoming movie Patriot’s Day, a theatrical motion picture chronicling the events surrounding the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

The story will be based on the first-hand account of Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, who “played an integral role in working with the FBI, Watertown Police Department, Boston Police Department, Massachusetts State Police and local first responders to track, identify and apprehend the suspected bombers.”

The story is “envisioned as an intense thriller, spanning the five-day search up to the infamous siege where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was pulled from a boat in Watertown.”

“There is nothing more compelling than a real story populated by real heroes,” CBS Films President Terry Press said in a statement. “The team that we have assembled for this project is determined to give audiences a very personal look at what occurred during the days when the eyes of the world were on the city of Boston and how a group of contemporary patriots faced this crisis.”

I’m gonna be honest, I’ve been wanting this to be a movie since the moment it happened. It’s a terrifying true story that plays out perfectly like a movie. It also gives mass praise to the spirit of Boston and the people that overcame the tragedy.

  • Jackie

This is a horrible idea. This was not some natural disaster that caused people to come together, they are glorifying the evil acts of these two boneheads by making this a movie. May I remind you a child was killed? Way to encourage more terrorists to bomb things so they can see A-list hollywood actors play them on the silver screen. I really hate this idea and I can’t express that enough.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should be played by Nat Wolff.

DOES Wahlberg REALLY need the money that bad?

    is ESSENTIAL viewing.

    The ENTIRE thing’s a FARCE.

Even on the sheer face of it, it’s put on,
clearly visible in the UNCENSORED videos.

    BE A MAN.

    CHECK IT OUT —for yourself.

SAD to see WAHLBERG acting like someone who’s been
scared and compromised into ‘on board’ compliance.
