Chris Wallace Apologizes to Kelly Clarkson For Fat-Shaming Comments: 'I Admire Her Remarkable Talent'

Fox anchor Chris Wallace is apologizing to Kelly Clarkson for some rude remarks he made about her weight earlier this week.

“I sincerely apologize to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment,” he told Us Weekly in a statement. “I admire her remarkable talent and that should have been the focus of any discussion about her.”

Chris came under fire for fat-shaming comments he made during an appearance on The Mike Gallagher Show.

“Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer, Kelly Clarkson? Holy cow, did she blow up,” host Mike Gallagher said.

Chris then said, “Really? Do we want to talk about some of your friends? Kelly Clarkson‘s got a lovely voice. She could stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while.”

DO YOU THINK Chris Wallace’s apology to Kelly Clarkson is genuine?

I am so sick of all the intolerance we have of others. What? So we’re all supposed to look like the hideous plastic mannequins in Hollywood, with blow up boobs, plastic faces, etc? Is this what we have come to?? People come in ALL shapes and sizes, and we would look ridiculous if we all looked the same. This mentality had better end soon.

  • LoveIt

Why he even saw the need to fat-shame her? His comment was so unnecessary.

  • neil adlington

He should talk; eyes like piss-holes in the snow, and journalistic credentials of a clown.

  • Kaitlyn

How hypocritical. You claim that people should come in all shapes and sizes yet you slam “Hollywood” for looking like “hideous mannequins” and make fun of some of the ways that people try to make themselves look unique?

I hate to break it to you, but as a species then for thousands of years we actually have all look the same but with different heights and colors hues. The addition of weight as a differing factor is relatively new and comes as a direct result of lifestyle and dietary choices that weren’t available to our species in the past.

Sure, its rude to bring it up on a public forum but that doesn’t necessarily mean its wrong.

Chris Wallace is probably the closest thing Fox News has to a journalist, but Wallace got caught up in the culture of the snide loathing of all the things that Fox opposes, dislikes or feels superior to.

Chris Wallace, you can lose weight but not age. How does it feel to order off the Senior Menu?

People need to stop fat shaming and thin shaming. Period.

But she still look like a fat pig

Notice how whenever anyone there gets caught in a lie that person DOESN’T resign? The reason is because even they don’t see themselves as real journalist. I see them as propagandist but I’m sure they see themselves as “journalist/debaters” for a right wing point of view. So when they get caught it isn’t a lie they are guilty of. Oh no, not at all. That is reserved only for the “left-wing” media. For Fox it is never more than them using “unpersuasive rebuttals” that they are ever guilty of; hardly something to resign over. They are as Orwellian as I have ever seen.

Fox is capable of “news”, but any political, social, religious or science story is almost always given a propagandized slant.

  • SuperFash

Fox news had nothing to do with Chris Wallace’s inappropriate, misogynist remarks. He was on a radio show, not Fox, saying these hurtful remarks. He’s the pig. Plain and simple.

Is he related to Mike Wallace from 60 minutes? There is a slight resemblance.
