Marvel's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Will Not Have a Post-Credit Scene

Bad news for hardcore Marvel fans…the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie will not feature one of the classic post-credit scenes!

The post-credit scenes began with 2008’s Iron Man, when Samuel L. Jackson‘s Nick Fury told Robert Downey, Jr.‘s Iron Man he was “part of a bigger universe.”

Joss Whedon, writer/director of The Avengers, confirmed that there would be no scene at the end, because he felt there would be no way to top the film’s last post-credits scene.

“We all came at it separately—we don’t want to chase that,” Joss told EW. “That was a jewel and a weird little quirk.”

“There will be a tag,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige added . “But there’s not a post-post-credit scene.”

“There is nothing at the very end. And that’s not a fake-out,” Joss concluded. “We want people to know so they don’t sit there for 10 minutes and then go: ‘Son of a bitch! I’ll kill them!’”
