Gugu Mbatha-Raw Joins 'Beauty & the Beast' as Plumette!

Gugu Mbatha-Raw is the latest star to join the cast of the upcoming Disney movie musical Beauty and the Beast!

The 31-year-old British actress will be playing the role of Plumette, the feather duster, in the live-action adaptation of the animated movie, according to Variety.

Plumette is often referred to as Babette or Marie in other versions of the story. She is the love interest of Lumiere and is a maid when in human form.

Gugu is best known for her work in the films Beyond the Lights and Belle, both of which drew her rave reviews last year.
