Pippa Middleton Upsets PETA for Eating Smoked Whale Meat

Pippa Middleton keeps it business casual while running errands on Tuesday (April 14) in London, England.

The 31-year-old sister of the Duchess of Cambridge is getting some backlash from her column in the Daily Telegraph where she opened up about eating smoked whale carpaccio during a recent trip to Norway.

“Pippa is not known for common sense or compassion, but it still beggars belief that anyone, let alone someone from a country like ours, where whale meat has long been banned, could be oblivious to the uproar over Norway’s slaughter of these gentle giants,” Elisa Allen, associate director of PETA U.K., told E! News. “Does she think or read? What’s next, a panda steak or an elephant canapé? These whales are harpooned and bled to death before they’re gutted.”
