Sam Smith Diagnosed with Vocal Cord Hemorrhage, Cancels Upcoming Tour Dates
Sam Smith has sadly had to cancel some of his upcoming tour dates due to a hemorrhage on his vocal cords.
“I am deeply, deeply saddened to tell my Australian fans, I have to cancel my Australian tour,” the 22-year-old entertainer wrote to his fans on his Instagram account. “I have been vocally exhausted for a while now however last night in Sydney I had a small hemorrhage on my vocal cords. The doctors have told me I need to fully rest until my vocal chords have healed, otherwise this could become a huge long-term issue. I am so sorry to all who have bought tickets, I truly am. This kills me.”
Due to the medical emergency, Sam has cancelled dates for his sold-out shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. The dates will be rescheduled in December.
“I love you all and I am so sorry x please keep your eye on my Facebook/Twitter/Instagram for re arranged December dates x” Sam added on his Instagram later.
We wish Sam a speedy recovery and hope he gets well soon!
