Liam Payne Reveals the Reasons Why Zayn Malik Quit One Direction

Since Zayn Malik left One Direction a few months ago, fans have wanted answers about the reasoning behind his decision – and now former band mate Liam Payne is speaking out.

“I mean you know, he had to do what he had to do really, for himself,” Liam said on Wednesday (May 20) on Capital FM radio. “It’s like any other job really; sometimes you have to move on because you’re not enjoying what you’re doing as much.” He also added “of course,” when asked if he missed his friend.

“He wanted to go and spend some time with his family and missus,” Liam added. “We’re just going to carry on doing what we’re doing… We wish him [Zayn] all the best with whatever he goes into and stuff. We’ll just have to see what happens.”
