Celebs React to Ireland's Approval of Same-Sex Marriages

Ireland has just become the first country to approve same-sex marriages after over 60% percent of the citizens voted YES!

After the news, many celebs – Olivia Wilde, Sam Smith, Jessica Chastain, and Tom Daley- all took to Twitter to share their joy over the big decision.

“I think this is a moment that rebrands Ireland to a lot of folks around the world as a country not stuck in tradition but that has an inclusive tradition,” Human Rights Campaign director Ty Cobb shared to New York Times.

nicely done Ireland. now if the rest of the world can join the 21st century. it seems so crazy that i would need people to vote to give me a right that they themselves enjoy everyday … go Ireland!

A quick Google search and I found an excerpt from Interview Magazine:

Well, my dad is Irish. I spent my childhood going back and forth between Ireland and America. True to Irish cultural tradition, people drink beer younger there in the way that Italians drink wine younger, I assume. We in Ireland love a beer. So I think I was about 13.

Seriously at least do a little research.

Way to hypocritically rant about “love” as you display your anti-religious bigotry, Mia. Intolerance won in this vote, not tolerance.
