Rashida Jones Talks 'Hot Girls Wanted' & Porn: It's Almost Part Of Our Mainstream

Rashida Jones strikes a pose while visiting the SiriusXM Studios on Wednesday (May 27) in New York City.

The 39-year-old actress then switched outfits to attend her AOL Build Speaker Series Session for her new documentary Hot Girls Wanted at the AOL Studios.

That same day, Rashida made an appearance on The Today Show to talk about the flick, which focuses on the lives of young women featured in so-called amateur porn films.

“I think porn is now prevalent,” Rashida explained. “I mean, it’s almost part of our mainstream. It just felt like it was time to maybe investigate a little into the industry. It’s a totally unregulated industry.”

“This particular part of the industry, amateur porn — which is not really amateur porn, it’s just made to seem like amateurs are involved — they attract 18-year-old girls to come work with the promise of glamour and success and fame, to be big stars,” Rashida continued. “And, you know, the reality’s a little different from that.”

FYI: Rashida is wearing a Marni ensemble paired with Nicholas Kirkwood Carnaby pumps at AOL Build and a Preen dress at SiriusXM.

I would rather she focused on the discrimination and stigmatization of people who work or had worked in the adult industry by the mainstream people.

I agree with this statement. She comes from a world of privilege and is in no position to judge those who don’t have famous parents.

Case in point was what happened to Cytherea. A majority of so called feminist blogs pretty much ignored her real brutal rape but focused on the now defunct RollingStones false rape article.
Some treat adult industry performers as ‘gender traitors’.
